The participants were informed about the conditions created by the Government of Uzbekistan to promote the export of textile products, including the existing support mechanisms in matters of certification, transport and logistics, working capital.
During the webinar, the European partners of the Advantage Central Asia Agency (France) informed the exporters of Uzbekistan about the changes in the European and French textile markets caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the difficulties encountered in importing textile products in Uzbekistan, as well as promising areas for expanding supplies in the new conditions.
In particular, it was noted that the possibility of opening a representative office of textile exporters in Paris (a full-fledged showroom) should be considered in order to achieve a high level of confidence of French importers.
During the webinar, a step-by-step algorithm (mechanism) for increasing the export of textile products of Uzbekistan to Europe (to France) in the new economic conditions (the need of the French market for textile products is US$166 billion) was discussed:
– Opening of the Showroom of enterprises for proper positioning in the European market
– start export deliveries with basic products (knitwear, hosiery and terry products);
– creation from the very beginning of a positive image of Uzbekistan as a country of a reliable supplier of textile products
– special emphasis on the quality of the raw materials used (cotton fiber) and finished products
– careful preparation of samples, a professional catalog, as well as information on the volumes, terms and conditions of delivery, packaging and prices of the products offered.
Separately, the attention of the webinar participants was drawn to the stability and correctness of production (in accordance with the social and environmental requirements of the European market), as well as that experts expect an “avalanche” demand in the consumer market of Europe, which today has a tendency to “accumulate.”
The partners also made it clear that European buyers can expect new players to enter the market, including from Uzbekistan.
